Casement windows & doors
At Greenleafjoinery we can offer you a wide variety of modern and traditional casement windows.
A casement window is a type of window that opens outwards. This helps save space inside the room, and the wind pressure makes the window tight and storm-proof.
Our casement windows are made of engineered Karelian pine (Sapele or Oak as an option). Modern triple layer wood engineering prevents swelling or distortion of the woodwork in future.
All our new windows are fitted with double glazed 24mm (4-16-4) argon gas filled K-glass units providing thermal properties of 1.1W/m2K as standard.
We can offer you a variety of side hung, top hung, canopy stay, top swing, side swing 90 degrees or side swing 180 degrees windows.
In some cases, for example if you live in a conservation area or for whatever reason you do not want a modern type of casement window, we are here to help you with making an exact copy of your original window. We can also reduce heat loss from 4.3 W/m2K to 1.5 W/m2K by installing weatherseals and double glazed units, while maintaining the essential original features.. And you will be able to choose from a wide variety of top class or budget ironmongery from our extensive range of the best UK suppliers we work with.

At Greenleafjoinery we would like to offer you our contemporary casement windows and doors system which will satisfy your needs with exceptional heat and sound insulation, high performance, easy maintenance and a long lifespan.
Our new windows are made of engineered Karelian pine (with Sapele or Oak as alternative options). We apply high standard quality requirements to the timber. It has to be free of knots, resin pockets, splits or cracks. The timber is dried at modern kiln drying systems up to 8% (±2%) moisture content. Several layers of timber are then glued together in vertical or semi-vertical grain, with the middle parts in random grain with micro-porous adhesives. This type of triple layer wood engineering prevents swelling or distortion of the woodwork in future.
All our new windows are fitted with double glazed 24mm (4-16-4) argon gas filled K-glass units providing thermal properties of 1.1W/m2K as standard. All kinds of different glass types such as safety, obscured, tinted, etc. can be used in accordance to a client’s needs.
We use weather seals for ensuring maximum weather tightness. All seals comply with the requirements given in BS644 for timber windows and achieve a severe weather rating of Class 4 when tested in accordance with the requirements in BS6375.
Resistance to wind load - Test pressure: 5 Class
Resistance to wind load - The relative deflection : C Class
Impermeability of water - 8A Class
Acoustic performance - 32dB(-1;-4)
Thermal transmittance - 1.5W(m2-K)
Air permeability - 4 Class
